Lawmakers Look For Systemic Problems At DCF
Recent allegations that the Department of Children and Families has mishandled a series of cases have taken over headlines in recent days. One of those cases involved a 5-year old Fitchburg boy who went missing late last year even while his family was under DCF supervision.
A Beacon Hill oversight committee will hold hearings about DCF management on Thursday.
One of the big questions is whether cases like these are isolated or indicative of a larger, systemic problem at DCF.
