A "sole bad actor". That's how a report released today by the state inspector general refers to Annie Dookhan, the former chemist at the center of the state drug lab scandal that surfaced in 2012.
State official shut down The Hinton State Laboratory in Jamaica Plain lab the discovery that Dookhan mishandled evidence and falsified test results on drugs seized by police, compromising more than 40,000 samples and leading to the release of hundreds of inmates.
