Andris Nelsons has begun his tenure as the brand new music director for the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Much has been made of the conductor's age. He's just 35, making him the youngest music director in more than a century at the BSO. And whether it's due to his youth or not, it's his energy and openness that are winning early rave reviews in Boston.

He'll be conducting a series of performances at Symphony Hall beginning early next month.
