With just over a week to go before the general election, the candidates are making their final push. And with the end of his gubernatorial term in sight, Deval Patrick touts big gains made in the public schools under his watch.

Meanwhile, as a case of Ebola arises in New York City, the Boston doctor nominated to be the next surgeon general remains in limbo and loses a critical endorsement.

And, due to declining health, former Boston Mayor Tom Menino ends his chemotherapy treatment and suspends his book tour.

WBUR's Sacha Pfeiffer and Anthony Brooks speak with Radio Boston's week-in-review panel.
