If you don't know it, the Boston Classical Orchestra is one of the city's other orchestras. It's less well known than the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and there are some other key differences.

"We're smaller, and we play in a very intimate hall," says Steven Lipsitt, music director of the Boston Classical Orchestra. "We play upstairs in Faneuil Hall."

The BCO is committed to performing works by some of the great classical composers — including Mozart, Hyden and Beethoven.

"We assemble five or six times a year," says Lipsitt. "But once in they're in their seat, the magic begins."

A brand new work by local composer and Berklee College of Music professor Andrew List will have its world premiere with the Boston Classical Orchestra at Faneuil Hall this Sunday. It's called "Journey Through the Eternal Forest."
