There's a place in Boston where the orchids and lilies are in full bloom. Where tropical trees stand tall and lush and where you can forget — just for a moment — that it's still February in New England.

It's the palace courtyard at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The museum has announced that it will be free to the public all day Thursday "in the spirit of beating the winter blues."

Guest

David Nolta, professor and chair of the art history department at MassArt.
