It's a rite of spring which, after the record-breaking winter that just ended, feels especially welcome this year: opening day at Fenway Park.

The Red Sox are taking on the Washington Nationals, and more important than the score is the fact that the sun is out, and it actually feels like spring — with all the hope and optimism that a new season brings. Earlier, we headed down to Yawkey Way to eat a hot dog and talk to some folks enjoying the day.

This segment aired on April 13, 2015.
