The typewriter is the tool of choice for this Texas quartet that travels the country writing custom, on-demand poems.

They call themselves, "The Typewriter Rodeo." And they've performed everywhere from SXSW to PayPal to local weddings.

This weekend they're headed to the Nantucket Book Festival, but before that, two of them join us here in studio.

Guests

Kari Anne Holt (Roy) is a member of the Typewriter Rodeo and author of several middle grade novels in verse, including House Arrest and Brains for Lunch. She tweets @KariAnneHolt. The group tweets @TypewriterRodeo.

David Moses Fruchter is a member of the Typewriter Rodeo and a writer, editor, poet and performance artist.
