The nuclear deal with Iran, which was reached Tuesday, would significantly limit Tehran's nuclear program for more than a decade. In return, international sanctions would be lifted.

Critics, including many Republicans and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, are calling it a grave mistake that will empower a dangerous regime.

But Wednesday afternoon at the White House, President Obama responded to the critics, even as he acknowledged that the deal is not perfect.

"This deal is our best means of assuring that Iran does not get a nuclear weapon. And, from the start, that has been my number one priority. Our number one priority," said the president.

Congressman Stephen Lynch shared with us his reaction to the deal.
