As we heard yesterday on Radio Boston, General Electric unveiled its plans for a 12-story global headquarters on Fort Point Channel in the Seaport District. And last night the Boston Civic Design Commission reviewed the plans for the 2.4 acre corporate campus.

"This is not your mother's headquarters, not your grandmother's headquarters," says Ann Klee, GE's head of Boston development and operations. "This is really intended to be a collaboration and innovation space."

So what did the Boston Civic Design Commission meting last night make of the proposed development? And what comes next for the design of the headquarters and the Fort Point neighborhood?
