Director Kenneth Lonergan On 'Manchester By The Sea'

In Kenneth Lonergan’s film, "Manchester by the Sea," Casey Affleck plays Lee, a janitor who is pulled back to Manchester after the death of his brother. He assumes the guardianship of his nephew Patrick, a teenager balancing his father's death with hockey practice and two girlfriends. Because of his new role, Lee is forced back into a town that he left behind after a tragedy that shattered his life years earlier.

Kenneth Lonergan, writer and director of "Manchester by the Sea." He also wrote and directed "Margaret" and "You Can Count On Me," and wrote the play "This is Our Youth."
