CommonHealth: Where Do Food Cravings Come From?

A new study in the journal Nature helps explain what happens in our brains when we see images of food and we turn into food zombies — staggering toward the fridge, trying to satisfy our food cravings.

The study found that by manipulating just a few thousand neurons in mice, they could make a mouse that's just eaten the equivalent of Thanksgiving dinner notice food cues and begin eating again.
