State Lawmakers Still Negotiating Final Budget

The holiday weekend is over, and Massachusetts lawmakers are back at work. First, they're negotiating an unfinished state budget, with a potential gap of close to $1 billion.

Also underway, behind closed doors, is the the debate over how to tax recreational marijuana, under the state's new law. The House and Senate have proposed two sharply different bills.

Finally, lawmakers need to consider a health care proposal from Gov. Charlie Baker that would overhaul the state's Medicaid program, known as MassHealth.
