Beacon Hill Gridlock On Budget, Marijuana Legalization

Six days into the new fiscal year and Massachusetts still does not have a budget.

Legislative leaders say they are making progress on a budget, which House Speaker Robert DeLeo hopes to send to the governor this week.

But the negotiations come amid growing tensions between House and Senate lawmakers over a proposal to overhaul the voter-approved law legalizing marijuana for recreational use.
