Hall of Fame second baseman and coach of the Red Sox Bobby Doerr has passed away at the age of 99.

Doerr played all 14 years of his playing career with the Sox, stretching from 1937 to 1951, with the exception of 1945, when he served with the U.S. Army during WWII.

He was also the hitting coach for the Red Sox during their 1967 "Impossible Dream" team. And in 1986, he was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame.
