Gloucester Stage Cuts Ties With Israel Horovitz Amid Sexual Misconduct Allegations
PlayGloucester Stage Company has cut ties with its founding artistic director, Israel Horovitz, amid allegations of sexual misconduct reported by the New York Times.
The playwright told the New York Times that he "has a different memory of some of these events" and that he apologizes with all his heart to "any woman who has ever felt compromised" by his actions.
The allegations echo stories about Horovitz originally reported by the Boston Phoenix, 24 years ago.
