New Exhibit Explores Friendship Between Henry James And Isabella Stewart Gardner

A new exhibit at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum explores the author Henry James' intimate friendship with Isabella Stewart Gardner. James and Gardner wrote letters to one another for 30 years, writing about everything from travels to tragedies. The exhibit displays a collection of archives from the museum's collection highlighting their long-running friendship.

The exhibit, "Henry James and American Painting," is on view at the museum until January 21, 2018.
