CommonHealth: Prisoners And State Settle Lawsuit Over Hepatitis C Treatment

A settlement was reached last week in a class action lawsuit over treating Massachusetts prisoners for Hepatitis C. Massachusetts prisoners with advanced cases of Hepatitis C will receive the expensive treatment within 18 months of the deal's approval, according to an agreement reached between counsel for the prisoners and the state.
