Mass. SJC Rules A 'Millionaire's Tax' Proposal Is Unconstitutional

The Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts ruled today that a proposed ballot question known as the "millionaire's tax" is unconstitutional.

The question would have raised taxes on those with personal earnings over $1 million by an additional 4 percent, impacting some 19,000 millionaires in Massachusetts.
