Former Boston Public Schools Superintendent Tommy Chang will receive nearly $300,000, up to a year of health insurance and a letter of recommendation after agreeing to step down from his position last month.
The terms of the deal may be in violation of state law as they were approved by the School Committee behind closed doors.
