'Richard III' Leaves Stage As Shakespeare On The Common Nears Its' Summer Close
Play
It's the last week to catch Shakespeare on the Common, a free performance put on by Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC).
CSC is entering it's 23rd season under the artistic direction of Steven Maler with this year's production of "Richard III."
"Richard III" explores the allure of evil, the relationship between power and state, and the rise of the Tudor dynasty in England. The play, starring Faran Tahir as King Richard, provides insight into a charismatic but morally corrupt leader and what happens when lust for power goes unchecked.

The show will run through Aug. 5 with daily performances at the Parkman Bandstand on Boston Common.
Guest
Steven Maler, Founding Artistic Director of the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company.
