Saudi Arabia is holding a major investment conference today minus a few big local names, including Bain Capital co-chairman Steve Pagliuca. Still, over 3,000 people are expected to attend, despite the latest news about Saudi Arabia's involvement in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

In Boston, it was revealed this week that MIT is taking a closer look at the school's ties with Saudi Arabia. MIT hosted Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in March.
