D.C. isn't the only place where lawmakers are preparing for a new legislative year.

On Beacon Hill, newly-elected and re-elected state legislators are being sworn in today, and completing their first official act: to re-elect State House Speaker Robert DeLeo and Senate President Karen Spilka to their leadership posts.
