Uber And Lyft Drivers Boycott Ride-Hailing Giants, And Ask Riders To Join In

Thousands of drivers for Uber and Lyft in cities around the world, including Boston, have walked — or driven — off the job today.

Their strike comes just two days before Uber makes its initial public stock offering, following Lyft's IPO in March.

As the ride-hailing giants raise billions in the public market, drivers say they want better job protections and higher pay.
