Here's the Radio Boston rundown for July 30. Tiziana Dearing is our host.

  • WBUR's Shannon Dooling gives us the latest immigration news, including the Trump administration announcing it will no longer accept DACA applications, and news that undocumented immigrants will be excluded from the Census numbers.
  • In response to President Trump's tweet suggesting that mail-in voting would lead to massive fraud and suggesting the election could be delayed, we check in with Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin about the state's election plans. We also take listener calls on voting and election security with former presidential adviser David Gergen and Michael Curry, former president of the Boston Branch of the NAACP.
  • The nation said its final goodbye to the late John Lewis Thursday, at a funeral service held at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. A number of national speakers, including three former presidents, paid tribute to Lewis' life and legacy. We speak with Massachusetts residents Shirley Small-Rougeau and her son Vincent Rougeau, whose lives were intertwined with Lewis and his fight for social justice.

This program aired on July 30, 2020.
