The Coast Guard Calls Off The Search For The Emmy Rose Fishing Vessel

These are the crew of the Emmy Rose.

The Coast Guard called off its search for them late yesterday afternoon, after covering nearly 2,000 square miles of water. The Maine-based groundfishing vessel went missing off the coast of Provincetown early Monday morning.

Hank Soule manages the Sustainable Harvest sector, a fishing co-op that included the Emmy Rose.

"It is difficult to give up those last few bits of hope that you have that you'll have some sort of Thanksgiving miracle," Soule told Radio Boston.
