Thursday is the first official day Massachusetts educators can start to schedule appointments for vaccinations. Earlier this week, state education leaders announced all Massachusetts middle schools must return to in-person learning by the end of next month. And this all comes after news last week that Governor Baker had moved educators up in the line to receive their shots.

We speak with WBUR education reporter Carrie Jung and Beth Kontos, President of the American Federation of Teachers, Massachusetts.

This segment aired on March 11, 2021.
