Here is the Radio Boston rundown for April 2. Anthony Brooks is our host.

  • Another week draws to an end, bringing us a little closer to that light at the end of the pandemic tunnel. We discuss the race between getting vaccines into arms, against rising infection rates. We also talk about Acting Boston Mayor Kim Janey's first week-and-a-half on the job, and her prospects for running for a full term. On the national level, we talk about what President Joe Biden's massive $2 trillion infrastructure plan could mean for this part of the country, and discuss the trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin, who is accused of murdering George Floyd. Our panelists are Michael Curry, head of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, former president of the Boston branch of the NAACP, and a member of the national NAACP's board of directors, and Joe Battenfeld, political columnist for the Boston Herald.

This program aired on April 5, 2021.
