Here is the Radio Boston rundown for May 20. Tiziana Dearing is our host.

  • Several communities in the Commonwealth are looking to decriminalize psychedelic drugs, like psilocybin mushrooms. There is a corresponding shift in the medical community, as doctors and researchers begin to support rigorous studies of how these substances affect the brain, and their potential for therapeutic benefits. We discuss with Dr. Jerry Rosenbaum, director of the Center for the Neuroscience of Psychedelics at Massachusetts General Hospital. We also take listener calls with James Davis, lead organizer of Bay Staters for Natural Medicine, a grassroots organization pushing for the decriminalization of psychedelics, and Jennifer Stell, a registered nurse and a co-founder of Bay Staters for Natural Medicine.
  • The Boston Bruins pulled off a thrilling double-overtime win last night, taking a 2-1 series lead over the Washington Capitals. We "Check the Score" and talk about the Bruins' and Celtics' postseason chances with Radio Boston's Chris Citorik.

This program aired on May 20, 2021.
