Last week on Ask the Doctors, we took your calls about all-things-COVID, including masks, vaccines, and how to make sure your kids are safe as they head back to in-person learning. Melissa Adler, a mom of two young kids from Sudbury, asked for advice to calm the nerves of her children who are nervous about returning to school.

We're inviting Melissa back on the show to expand on her experience. And we take listener calls with  Dr. Michelle P. Durham, a pediatric and adult psychiatrist and vice chair of education at the department of psychiatry at Boston University, and Omar Ruiz, a middle school counselor and licensed marriage and family therapist, to dissect how parents can help their kids navigate their mental health in a time of uncertainty, and how parents can cope with their own emotions.

This segment aired on August 23, 2021.
