Frances Haugen, an ex-Facebook employee, publicly identified herself as the  whistleblower who turned in thousands of pages of internal Facebook documents to the federal government. She says that the tech giant uses its algorithm to prioritize profit over ethical responsibility, allowing angry, polarizing content to spread more rapidly on its platform. We sit down with Hiawatha Bray, a technology reporter from The Boston Globe, to break down the revelations in Haugen's recent interviews with The Wall Street Journal and "60 Minutes".

This segment aired on October 4, 2021.
