This is the Radio Boston rundown for October 19. Tiziana Dearing is our host.

    •  A new courtroom is up and running at the Suffolk County Jail complex. It's for processing people living in the area around Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard with outstanding warrants — trying to get them off the street, and into treatment. At the same time, city crews are clearing more tents from the area, after giving people living in them 48 hours notice they needed to leave. We hear from WBUR's Deborah Becker, and Pine Street Inn president and executive director Lyndia Downie.
    • Candidates Michelle Wu and Annissa Essaibi George are in the final stretch in the Boston mayoral race. Ahead of the general election tomorrow, we check in with WBUR senior political reporter Anthony Brooks and Boston Globe reporter Meghan Irons to get the latest updates on this historic race.
    • Many parents are relieved that the Pfizer vaccine is now authorized for kids aged 5-11 and might start signing up for appointments. But what does this process look like for pediatricians? When do they get their supply, and how will it arrive? We sit down with Dr. Clovene Campbell, the Medical Director of Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem and Beverly, to find out.

This program aired on November 1, 2021.
