This is the Radio Boston rundown for November 11. Tiziana Dearing is our host.

    • Congressman Jake Auchincloss joins us on the show to commemorate Veterans Day. He shares reflections on his time serving in Afghanistan and what today's holiday means to him.
    • We continue our commemoration of Veterans Day by revisiting a conversation Radio Boston's Jamie Bologna had about Afghanistan and evacuating refugees with John Velis, a state senator who served in Afghanistan in the summer of 2018, and State Representative Steve Xiarhos, a Gold Star Father. His oldest son, Nicholas, died on July 23, 2009 on the battlefield in Afghanistan. He was 21.
    • Virginia Buckingham, who ran Massport at Logan Airport on September 11, 2001, shares reflections from her new memoir "On My Watch" about the criticism she faced in the wake of the attacks, and what she's learned since.

This program aired on November 11, 2021.
