This is the Radio Boston rundown for November 16. Tiziana Dearing is our host.

    • Michelle Wu was sworn in as mayor today, making her the first elected woman and woman of color to hold the position in Boston's history. We check in with WBUR senior political reporter Anthony Brooks and WBUR reporter Callum Borchers to get a breakdown of the ceremony and what today's historic event feels like.
    • We continue our coverage of today's historic events and take listener calls with two former candidates for mayor, Boston city councilor Andrea Campbell and Boston's former chief of economic development, John Barros. We also review the latest appointments to the Wu administration, review highlights from the campaign trail, and look ahead to Mayor Wu's agenda.
    • Today on Ask the Docs, we take listener questions on all the latest COVID  news, including current case numbers, how the vaccination of children ages 5-11 is going, and recent developments in a COVID-19 pill. We speak to Dr. Davidson Hamer, infectious disease physician at Boston Medical Center and professor of infectious diseases and medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine, and to  Dr. Gabriela Andujar Vazquez, an infectious disease physician, Associate Hospital Epidemiologist, and Medical Director of the COVID-19 Vaccination Program at Tufts Medical Center.

This program aired on November 16, 2021.
