Earlier this week, Michelle Wu was sworn in as Boston's new mayor, becoming the first woman and person of color to be elected to the position. Leading up to her inauguration, Wu set the humanitarian crisis at Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard and transportation as her first agenda items to tackle. These are on top of the pandemic, which Boston and Massachusetts continue to grapple with as infection rates tick up right before Thanksgiving next week. Meanwhile, the state and region is slated receive millions of dollars in aid for transportation and infrastructure in President Biden's 'Build Back Better' plan, if it's signed.

We'll take your calls on Mayor Wu, COVID, and infrastructure with former Massachusetts Governor Jane Swift, now president and executive director of LearnLaunch, and Michael Curry, president and CEO of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, member of the NAACP National Board of Directors, and former President of the Boston Chapter of the NAACP.

This program aired on November 19, 2021.
