If you're a high schooler in the commonwealth, study up. It just got harder for you to graduate. That's because the state's Board of Elementary and Secondary Education just raised the passing score on the 10th-grade Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System, or MCAS.

Monday's vote will impact the incoming freshman class this fall. It will also raise the passing score even higher for the class of 2031.

We talk about the impact on students, and what it could mean for teachers and families.

This segment aired on August 18, 2022.
