This is the Radio Boston rundown for May 3. Yasmin Amer is our host.

  • Massachusetts has more college graduates than any other state, but does the job market keep up? The newest study from Harvard's Project on Workforce found that young people are often overqualified for their jobs. We examine the skills gap and ask how it can be addressed.
  • Cities in Massachusetts  attract students as hubs for scientific and technological development. But are they welcoming enough? Jean King, dean of Arts and Sciences at Worcester Polytechnic Institute joins us in studio to discuss the state of diversity and mentorship in local science programs.
  • Coming out of the pandemic, we are still learning to cope with our new realities. For many, those realities mean living without the loved ones they lost to the virus. We take a moment to reflect on loss and mourning, as we look for ways to go on living with grief.

This program aired on May 3, 2023.
