On Sunday, the legendary Red Sox Broadcaster Joe Castiglione called his final game. Castiglione has been the team’s lead radio voice for 42 years — the longest play by play announcer in the team's history.

WBUR's Radio Boston spoke to Cognoscenti contributor and lifelong Red Sox fan Harry Breault about why Castiglione has become such an icon.

This segment aired on October 1, 2024.
