Summer is here and so is the end of yet another theater season. On this week's show, three guests reflected on the last theater season and looked ahead to what we may expect from the new season that starts in September.

The main focus of the discussion centered on such questions as how theater is changing and what direction it is going in; which theater companies are reshaping the stage in new ways; and whether today's plays are challenging theatergoers.

The three discussion guests were: Carmel O'Reilly, artistic director at the Sugan Theatre Company, Spiro Veloudos, producing artistic director at the Lyric Stage Company, and Bill Marx, theater critic for WBUR, Boston's NPR station.
