This show featured the second of three installments from the annual lecture series "The Fascination with Jewish Tales" by Nobel Peace prize winner Elie Wiesel.

In this second lecture titled, "America: Memories of Doubts and Hope," Wiesel discussed the emergence, role, and significance of the Jewish community in America, starting with the story of the initial 23 Jews who settled in New York.

Wiesel has been delivering his annual three-lecture series "The Fascination with Jewish Tales" at Boston University since 1975.
