England's Model for School Accountability

This week's show featured a talk on "School Inspection, Accountability, and the Design of School Systems" by Michael Barber, a senior advisor to British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

As head of the British Prime Minister's Delivery Unit, Barber oversees health, education, and other public service sectors. Part of his responsibility is to oversee school inspections, which are an integral element of school accountability in England.
