PlayThis week's show featured a lecture presented by the African-American Studies Program at Boston University, as part of the 200th anniversary of the ending of the US-Atlantic slave trade.
The speaker was University of Maryland Professor Ira Berlin and his lecture was titled "The Closing of the Slave Trade and the Transformation of Slavery in the U.S."
Prior to his lecture, Dr. Berlin was introduced by Ronald Richardson, Director of the African American Studies Program at Boston University.
