Romney Says One Tunnel Ready to Re-Open

Governor Mitt Romney has declared a key big dig tunnel ready to be re-opened, after last month's fatal ceiling collapse.

Tunnel "A" remains closed at this hour, pending federal approval. When the tunnel opens, travelers from route 93, will be able to access the Ted Williams Tunnel eastbound, toward Logan Airport.

There is still no estimate about when the I-90 connector, where the ceiling collapse occurred, will be re-opened.

This program aired on August 4, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
