BOSTON — The Emerson String Quartet was once dubbed the “Fab Four of chamber music.”

Based in New York, the quartet is coming to Jordan Hall in Boston this Friday night, for a concert that will feature the music of Ravel.

One of the founding members, Eugene Drucker, has another claim to fame. He’s written a novel, “The Savior,” which was recently released in paperback. It’s about a violinist during the Holocaust. Morning Edition’s critic-at-large Ed Siegel profiles Drucker and his book.
