Sunny Skies Bring Business To Cape
BOSTON — For some Cape Cod businesses, the July 4 weekend was an antidote to the doldrums of June. Incessant rain discouraged tourists from heading to the Cape last month, leading to hotel cancellations and a decline in business at restaurants.
But the situation may have turned around over the Fourth of July weekend as businesses catered to last-minute travelers encouraged by the good weather.
For more on the expectations for the rest of the summer tourism season on the Cape, we spoke with Deborah Converse, the president and CEO of the Hyannis Area Chamber of Commerce.
