Logan Airport Briefly Shuts Down After Flight Aborts Takeoff
BOSTON — Logan International Airport was briefly shut down Friday morning after a Delta commuter flight to Columbus, Ohio, aborted takeoff. Passengers inside the cabin smelled fumes from de-icing fluid, said airport spokesman Phil Orlandella.
All 25 passengers and three crew members were evacuated. No injuries are reported.
The flight, Delta 6049, was aborted about 10:30 a.m.
Logan airport re-opened with some delays but no major problems.
