Gov’s Debate: What They Said On Global Warming, Gas Guzzlers

BOSTON — The state’s four candidates for governor participated in their first debate Monday at Suffolk University. The debate primarily focused on Cape Wind, but other topics — from nuclear power to what cars the candidates drive — were touched on, too. Here’s a sampling of what they said. “We’ve taken people out of their gas-guzzling cars and lost 100,000 jobs by raising taxes in the middle of a recession.”

Baker drives a Chrysler 300 and his wife drives a Chrysler Pacifica. He has a 1966 Ford Mustang and his son drives a sedan from he 1980s.
