Gov's Debate: What They Said On Global Warming, Gas Guzzlers

The state's four candidates for governor participated in their first debate Monday at Suffolk University. The debate primarily focused on Cape Wind, but other topics — from nuclear power to what cars the candidates drive — were touched on, too. Here’s a sampling of what they said. Patrick rides in a state-owned Chevrolet Tahoe hybrid. He owns a Toyota SUV hybrid, which his younger daughter drives. He has a “mid-life crisis” Mercedes convertible. His older daughter drives a Volkswagen Bug and his wife drives Mercedes sedan.
