WBURHurricane Earl Could Bring ‘Glancing Blow’ To Mass. Coast

BOSTON — As Hurricane Earl makes its way toward the East Coast, the state emergency management agency is asking coastal communities to prepare — just in case.

The agency is holding daily conference calls with local leaders, making sure they have back-up generators and supplies.

Morning Edition spoke with Eleanor Talbot, from the National Weather Service office in Taunton, about the latest Earl forecasts and the storm’s possible impact this weekend on Nantucket and the Cape.
