Turner's Lawyers Say They Plan To Appeal

After a federal jury on Friday convicted Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner of accepting a $1,000 bribe and lying to the authorities, his lawyers say the court fight is not over.

Turner's lawyers plan to appeal the convictions on charges of both bribery and lying to federal agents.

As he awaits sentencing, Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner is also awaiting a decision from the city council.

The council is expected to hold a hearing in the next few weeks to decide whether to remove him from the office, following his corruption conviction.

No matter what happens, Turner says he's sure he still had the support of constituents.

"They know I'm not guilty because they know the quality of work I do each and every day," Turner said.

Turner says he has no regrets about testifying in his own defense.
