Ahead of Tuesday's elections, WBUR's Morning Edition traveled to Plymouth — a town with a track record of voting for the winner in statewide elections — not only to take the temperature of state preparing to choose its next governor, but also because it sits smack in the middle of the state's 10th congressional district.

The election in the 10th has featured a hotly contested campaign between Democrat Bill Keating and Republican Jeff Perry. Rep. William Delahunt is retiring, and after the district voted for Republican Sen. Scott Brown in January's special senatorial election, many analysts think Republicans have a chance to win the 10th.

While broadcasting live from Plymouth, WBUR's Bob Oakes spoke with both candidates, Perry and Keating. Keating believes that the candidates in the 10th represent a stark choice.

This program aired on November 1, 2010.
